Wirral Way Summer Trail Half Marathon

Free Ice Creams and cake to all finishers.
Baggage van will transport any clothing back to the finish from the start area.
Free unlimited digital photo downloads.
Chip timing (results will be done off chip time only).
Free showers and toilets at finish. Portable toilets at the start.

Your Race Number with chip attached and final instructions will be posted out 7-10 days before the event. We have reduced the entry fee however coach travel now costs £5. Please book coach travel when entering online!

Please complete, and put any medical conditions, on the reverse of the bib.
Chips will be attached to your race number. Do not remove them.
Place the bib on your front, this must be visible at all times.

Wirral Country Park
We strongly recommend parking at the start area and booking return coach travel from the finish as there are more car parking spaces at the start.

Saturday - 8am to 12pm
Sunday - 7am to 9am
All parking is pay and display.
Start area, at Hooton Train Station (400 Spaces).
Finish area, at Wirral Country Park (250 Spaces).
Coach services will run each way from 8am to 2pm.
The coach trip is 9 miles each way and costs £5.
You must have your chip race number to start the race at Hooton!

Wirral Way Circular Trail
The start will be signposted from Hooton Train Station where there are portable toilets and coach drop off
(appox 400mtrs walk over the bridge onto the Wirral Way).
Runners can start the race from 9am to 9:45am
Marshals will filter runners down to the start line as the area has narrow paths.
Baggage at Start
Do not leave baggage on coaches!
Any items you want transporting back to the finish can go in the TIme2Run Events van which will be
parked near the start line.
(Items are left in the van at your own risk!)
The van will then be parked at the finish line for you to collect your Items.
Refreshment vendors will be at the finish area.

Finishing at Wirral Country Park with stunning views across the Dee Estuary.
The route is point to point up to 9.5 miles where you pass the finish line. The last 3.6 miles section is an out and back with a turn round loop around Cubbins Green.
The route is fully marked and marshalled
There are 4 feed stations along the route also these are good spots for spectators.
Each feed station is stocked with cupped water/electrolyte, sweets.

Please keep on the left hand side of the path
Do not litter!
No headphones at road crossings (1 ear rule or no headphones along route).
Give way to the public at all times
Follow marshal directions, you may be asked to stop at road crossings
to give way to traffic, please follow marshals directions at all times.
A bin will be placed after each feedstation.
Any runner found littering will be disqualified from the race.
Expect good trail paths, a bit of mud and some undulations.
This year we are sharing the site with the Cheshire Steamers so once you've finished your race you'll be able to join in the steam-up!!
